Ginger essential oil is obtained from extracting ginger plant rhizome. Researchers have indicated a couple of beneficial properties that ginger oil carries: eases feelings of nausea and possesses anti-inflammatory properties.

Topical applications
The warm and spicy scent of ginger oil is great for aromatherapy and topical applications to the skin. It is important to remember that ginger oil applied to the skin should always be diluted in a carrier oil first.
Carrier oils include jojoba oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, and more.

Remember that the dilution of ginger essential oil using the carrier oil of your choice should not exceed 3 to 5%. For example, to make a solution of 3% level concentration, add 20 drops of essential oil per ounce of carrier oil.

Ginger Oil in Aromatherapy
Simply dilute the ginger oil into an oil-based solution or alcohol, put it in a spray bottle, and voila! An easy air freshener is ready at your disposal. Follow the following steps to make one for yourself:
1. Use 10 to 15 drops of essential oil per ounce of water. 
2. Add a dispersing agent (solubilazer), this helps distribute the essential oil in the water, more evenly.  
3. Remember to shake before each time you spray.
