Caprylic/capric triglyceride is a clear, oily liquid derived from coconut or palm oil and glycerin and is widely used in personal care products as an emollient, known for its purity, extremely lightweight feel, and high stability.
 

Benefits and Uses

Emollient and Moisturizer: Its primary function is to soften skin and hair, which helps prevent moisture loss (trans-epidermal water loss) without a heavy, greasy feel.

In hair care products, it helps hydrate hair strands, reduce frizz, and provide shine without weighing the hair down.

Non-Comedogenic: Despite being oil-derived, caprylic/capric triglyceride is considered non-comedogenic and is suitable for acne-prone skin. 

CCT consists almost exclusively of caprylic (C8) and capric (C10) fatty acids bound to a glycerin backbone through a specialized esterification process.

Stability/Shelf Life: Superior oxidative stability and a very long, almost indefinite shelf life due to its pure, saturated composition.
